- Good build quality, finish on top lid looks expensive
- Just enough performance for everyday use (watching 1080p quicktime movies utilize about 70-75% of CPU). Windows 7 experience factor of 3.1
- Great form factor - length and width is like any other 14" notebook but significantly thinner than non SU CPU notebooks
- Webcam and incl software allow recording of 720p video. Quality and resolution look much better than 2 dedicated HD webcams I've tried from top manufacturers
- Quiet - both fan and HD are almost inaudible
- Screen has vibrant colors and is plenty bright
- Multi touch touchpad with Windows 7 capability
- includes 802.11n wi-fi
- power supply is nice and compact
- HDMI port
- < 4.5 lbs in weight

- lack of VGA port - it's HDMI only
- battery life not as good as claims (getting about 4 hours just surfing and watching online video but with screen brightness at 75%)
- screen only opens to about 120 degrees like many current laptops
- keyboad keys are very flat and have a smooth finish - hard to type by feel as all the keys feel the same. There are slightly raised nibs on the F and J keys but they are too subtle
- no LED indicator that webcam is in use
- undetailed and ambiguous driver support
> Acer website lists 2 driver packages for the webcam with no explanation on the difference. After installing both recently dated pacakages, the out of the box Crystal Eye software would not start
> Many recent BIOS updates are available but they recommend not installing unless explicitly told by support
- touchpad is not the most responsive - wish it had dedicated left/right buttons & was placed 1 inch further to the left as if it were centered under the spacebar

Other Thoughts:

- SU4100 CPU means this is not a desktop replacement - good everyday machine but not for CPU intensive work
- screen has a noticeably narrow viewing angle but usually won't notice
- Still haven't found the mic; it's not as sensitive as other laptops I've used
- would love something in this form factor with a dedicated video processor to take the load off the modest CPU
- did I mention the very convenient form factor? I think this would be a great carrying around notebook. It's no netbook but has a full size keyboard and easy on the eyes screen
- out of the box bloatware was present but could have been worse - took about 15 minutes to uninstall through Control Panel

- Webcam had poor lighting correction. I have been using with Skype and rooms with mixed light give it problems (e.g. light coming in from window behind a subject in the foreground causes the foreground object to be completely dark) - that being said, resolution was good when recording video locall
