This review is from: ASUS M4A785T-M AM3 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros:

From a feature standpoint, I really liked this board initially. I wanted it to be a great choice for my application, since it has the lovely HD4200 built in, HDMI/DVI/VGA onboard, DDR3, etc. However...

Cons:

One major issue, which I deducted 3 Eggs for:
MAX RAM IS 8GB. Not 16gb.
This is because the M4A785T-M/CSM does not currently support 4gb-sized modules. Tried Kingston DDR3-1333 and G-Skill DDR3-1333, and both failed to operate. Works correctly with a Crucial 2GB DDR3-1066 module installed.
Asus hung up on a couple of our phone calls, and gave us inconsistent answers when they did take our call.
The folks at G-Skill were able to help clear up the issue: "Unfortunately, that particular model motherboard is not compatible with 4GB modules. Although, ASUS is currently working on a BIOS revision to allow it. Once it has been completed, it will be posted on their website. A proven motherboard to operate the G.Skill F3-10666CL9S-4GBRL would be the ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO. The latest 0602 BIOS should have no problems operating this memory package." So, moral of the story is "call your memory manufacturer when you suspect that the motherboard manuf. won't admit their issue!"

Overall Review:

The onboard DVI connector is "DVI-D". This only matters if you happen to have a large number of "DVI-I" (analog integrated with digital) monitors in your office. We had to search extensively to find a DVI-D cable without the extra pins on it, but we eventually found one, and it worked.
