Terriffic Monitor 04/28/2010
Stylish frame and high-gloss black finish
ASUS reputation for quality
VGA and DVI cables included
Buttons are easily accessible
Monitor settings are quite easy to adjust (despite what some have said)
Good value for the money
No HDMI input (expected in this size, but it would still be a nice addition)
Would have preferred a rectangular base to a round one purely for aesthetic reasons (no biggie, the round base is stable and functional)
I bought this monitor to replace my old non-widescreen 17" LCD that died and I'm glad I picked this particular model. 20" is a good size for regular computer use without going overboard. If you do a lot of gaming you may want to bump up to the 21.5", but for my use (mainly web browsing and school) this monitor is plenty big. Widescreen is awesome for watching TV & movies online and this monitor has excellent picture quality.
The monitor does display the ASUS logo and input selection for a couple seconds when you first turn it on but I don't find this annoying. The buttons for changing settings & the menu for these settings are easy to use despite a few complaints here, not sure why anyone would complain as I have seen far worse.
I've had great success with the ASUS mobo and video card in this machine, and this monitor did not disappoint. Their products seem to be very well designed, of superb quality, and come in sturdy packaging. Arrived from Newegg in 3 days. No complaints!
