ASUS, Not so much 12/08/2010
The mother board has worked great. I have the P5E Premium WiFi @n (top of the line mb then) that I purchased 2 years ago. Im posting here to warn you of the possibilities that Asus will not support their product.
I will start off by saying I thought I was buying from a quality company getting a quality MoBo, and I like getting quality stuff so I will have quality computer. Well, When I purchased my P5E premium WiFi @n mb 2 years ago I bought top of the line and now its no longer supported. I called them last night trying to update the bios for WiFi and guess what they are not supporting it for Win7. I paid $369.00 2 yrs ago for a product they have stopped supporting and I am stuck with either getting a new mb (totally new sytem) or going back to XP or vista. WOW!!!!!! Isn’t that great. So the lesson learned here, you maybe buying top of the line stuff now but don’t expect Asus to support it for very long.
The term "You get what you pay for" does not hold true in this company.
Dear Valued Customer,
We do not have a P5E Premium. If you are referring to the P5E3 Premium WiFi @n, we do support this motherboard and do have WiFi drivers available for Windows 7. You can download the drivers from http://support.asus.com/download.
Type P5E3 Premium in the top left search field -> select your OS from the drop down list -> click on the Wireless category and you will see ASUS WiFi-AP@n Solo V18.104.22.168.
