This is however a great access point if you have a router already on your network. You can place it wherever you want, and string a network cable to it, and get great coverage. Its reliable, and has never dropped a connection or slowed down for me. Who cares what the web gui looks like, as you set it up once, then leave it be. You shouldn't have to monkey with the settings more than once. The included gigabit port makes it all that much sweeter.
The range isnt 100% at great distances. No way to crank power up without custom firmware.
Joshua's review here shows he knows little about this piece of equipment. POE is to power the device, there is no extra equipment needed. Also, this is is NOT a router. There is NO integrated switch in this device either, that is NOT its purpose. It's not meant to be a central connection point in any network.
