This review is from: LIAN LI PC-Q08A Silver Aluminum Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case
Lots of space for a Mini-ITX case.
High-quality aluminum body.
Lots of vents for good air circulation
Holds 6 disk drives, could be made to hold possibly more with Pico-PS
5.25 inch drive slot for DVD/Bluray
Room Full size PS (more of a con for me)
Space for tall PCI card
Did not have problem with small screws like other reviewers
(extra small screws were provided.)
Great case for NAS array, but could be smaller
Poor arraignment of Hard disks
Disks are stacked horizontally, so heat rises up and accumulates on disks at top of stack
Poor cable management / Ridiculous USB connector
Prefer drive connections facing toward back of case
Case is a bit TOO large for a Mini-ITX board & 6 disks if you don't use full size PSU
Ordered this case just before Christmas. Did not arrive in a brown shipping box, but factory box with pictures etc. and the box hadn't been taped closed. It was also the last one in stock (Silver case). This case had been USED & RETURNED!! The front fan wasn't attached to the case and was rattling around. You could tell it was used by screw marks where disks had been mounted, and power supply screws. I decided to keep it and installed everything. After powering on, the front fan, which I reattached wasn't spinning. I discovered the fan was defective and FROZEN SOLID/would not move manually. This is probably why the fist person returned it, and disappointing that it was not inspected and re-sold as new! After a brief online chat with customer service, they agreed to credit me $15 for the defective fan. Overall this is the only real choice for a case if you need room for 6 drives, but there is room for improvement.
