1 out of 5 eggs Does not fit the RPC-4220 Chassis I bought a year ago! 03/14/2011

This review is from: NORCO RL-26 Heavy-Duty Slide Ball Bearing Rail

It's solid, it slides smoothly and it's greasy... One egg for this.

It does not fit on the Norco RPC-4220 chassis : mounting holes don't align, even though Norco states on its web site that RL-26 rails are required for mounting the RPC-4220 in a rack (read "Other thoughts" for details)!..

I have attached a video to show exactly what I mean.

Other Thoughts:

I bought the Norco RPC-4220 on the 9/28/2009, item #N82E16811219033. I also bought the RL-20 rail for the option of mounting the chassis into a rack. At the time Norco mentioned on its Web site that it was compatible with the chassis.

A month ago I bought a server rack, but I found out that the RL-20 was not made for the RPC-4220, its mounting holes don't align! I went back on Norco's web site, and now they mention that the RL-26 is required (the RL-20 reference has been removed), so I ordered that rail on Newegg.... But they don't fit either! Both RL-20 and RL-26 have their holes exactly at the same place, and they don't align with the RPC-4220's mounting holes.

So in the end (hopefuly it's not really the end), I'm stuck with two unsusable pair of rails, and my server is still sitting on a counter near a nice and empty server rack... How can this happen, what game is playing Norco? What should I do? What rail can be used with the RPC-4220?!?

Coming Soon!
