Pros:

-Powerful i7 and 285m. Boots fast, and runs Blops at full settings with ease. I was very impressed with the sound. It's quite good, especially for a laptop.
-Battery life is better than I had originally expected (about 2-2.5 hours on low power modes with wireless off). The price is great for what you get. It's also lighter than I had expected, though it's obviously still heavier than smaller laptops.
-Haven't tried the turbo mode for the cpu, but the turbo mode for the fan works great when you really need the extra cooling. Hasn't come in handy yet, but it's nice to know it's there. Most of the time it runs fairly cool though.
-The keyboard is also very nice.

Cons:

-The mouse touchpad is a tiny bit unresponsive. At default settings you have to use your entire finger for movement to register, not just your fingertip. Maybe I was just spoiled by my old HP's touchpad, but I had to crank the sensitivity up nearly all the way in the control panel in order for it to respond the way I'm used to, and it's still a bit iffy at times. Not a big problem, especially since you use a portable mouse for games, but it's something to take into consideration.
-Not 1920 x 1080. I don't mind, but others might. The upgraded model of this laptop with 1920x1080 costs another $100 bucks with the same specs, but you might as well just buy the GT680r then since it's only a couple hundred more than that and has better specs.
-Bloatware. Not too much of it, but there's a decent amount of stuff running on startup that comes preinstalled.
-Would be nice if the keyboard were backlit.
-The charger is pretty big (though not 360 status as some say), but this is to be expected.

Overall Review:

-Everything is much shinier than I thought it was from the pictures. It looks nice, but the area around the keyboard and mouse (the areas you tend to touch the most) can pick up fingerprints easily. The lid is glossy as well, but isn't as print-prone.
-Stickers. Why are there so many on this thing? They take up what seems like 75% of the area next to the mousepad. I plan on taking most of 'em off once I work up the courage.
-The orange accent lights aren't completely necessary and drain the battery, but it's cool to have them, and they're easy enough to turn off (one button). You can also change through a couple of lighting modes which is neat, the most interesting being one that adjusts the lighting on the lid depending on the level of sound coming out of the left and right speaker.

-Overall, it's a great laptop. You can spend the extra 4 or $500 to get the gt680r if you need/want the extra power, but this laptop was more than fast enough for my college/gaming needs.
