It does what you expect of it except; (see other thoughts) I ended up useing it on a hobby rig as it would NOT fit on the MotherBoard I bought it for. Again see other thoughts. I was suprisd that the temps it gave me were as low as they were, I have not tested the 9650 past 3.8 but @ 3.8 I'm still ideling around <30;
As people have said the conections for the fans are short; i lucked out; but many won't; So this ened up being more of a toy than a product.(the back plate is very cheaply made, and does not sit straight on 1155. I see the 775, 1156, 1366 holes for the pins. on a 775 board it sits staright, also on one of my 1366: I do not feel comfortable installing a unstable plastic back plate that is made of rubery material on a expensive board. I wish their were a plack plate adapter that would work with this I would get another, It is NOT a LCS replacment but it IS BETTER than even touch pipe air; so with a good solid back plate that sits straight. it would be a wonderful product
THIS IS DIRECTED AT CORSAIR: I have read reviews that claim 1156 H/S/F will sit correctly in the 1155 socket template. I have found this is NOT true for some BACKPLATES that come with several coolers and this was the worst. ASUS Maximus IV Extreame I checked 2 seperate boards, the back plate sits @ offset angle, it is not square with the socket. This board has a large H/S on the back as well as a small IC. The H70 back plate is a cheap flimsy rubbery peice of soft plastic, it bends & smashes up agains the H/S & IC on the M-IV and sits wrong; IT SHOULD NOT BE SOLD AS COMPATABLE WITH 1155. I know people are useing them. I find it hard to swallow that (2) M-IV both will not accept this plate. IF 1155 holes are all the same then this will not sit right , and should not be used on 1155; I have found several other coolers with this problem; some are not noticable until you place the fans on and see that the H/S/F and the ram are off set by several dergrees. Not a square fit
