Pros:
"Best Bang for the Buck" is an oft used term but this is hands down the best card for the $$$ right now.
I'm just a casual gamer (FFXI and WOW) and replacing my ancient rig with a new system. I was looking at 5770's and had reservations about this card from reports that the 5830's were quirky when AA was bumped up but the price was too good to pass up. Turns out I made the right choice.
This card dropped right into my 10-yr old Antec Sonata case without surgery. The only hitch was it blocked my SATA1 pin which I can't fault newegg, Sapphire or my MSI micro-ATX mobo with the PCI-E 1.0 slot. I just moved my DVD-RW cord to another SATA pin. Once installed, the fan was so quiet at idle that I had to look to make sure it was spinning.
After a bit of tweeking the CCC (MAX settings), the games run super smooth, clear and the colors are vivid. My Win7 Gaming Index went from 5.3 to 7.6! The entire gaming experience just 'feels' 1000x better and that's what matters to me.
Cons:
No cons yet. Got it from newegg 3 days ago and it runs great. Hope it stays that way.
Overall Review:
This is the Xtreme version which isn't mentioned in the decription. I think the sheer size of the card puts off a lot of people. You need at least 11.5 inches of clearance in your case to fit this puppy. If you can fit it then I say get it.
Lastly, I read enough horror stories about Sapphire's Customer Service enough to prompt me to get the extended warranty. 15 bucks for peace-of-mind is worth it to me.
