Quite an interesting little board 06/08/2011
Z68 chipset, ddr3, sata 6.0, usb 3 ^_^! Virtu works quite well. It took a little while to set up but it works great. The physical power and reset button is a nice feature when trouble shooting. User manual did a decent job covering all features of the board. And finally the super charge feature is pretty cool.
I will just be nit picking here. Not enough to remove an egg. First off I wish the IO shield could be a bit thicker, it feels out of place with the over quality of the board. Live update is pretty useless. It finds updated drivers but fails to download them, not worth tinkering with. Post seems to take a while, but after that it boots into windows; unlike my other boards where it goes through several processes before loading windows. Finally, the GUI BIOS takes a bit getting used to.
I was extremely nervous buying this board because I consistently buy asus boards, However, all those fears were put to rest after booting up. Virtu is a great feature to have even though you have to jump through some hoops to do it. I haven't tried the OC genie yet because I typically don't overclock, I just like to have the option to. MSI has really won me over on this product and I will be strongly considering them the next time I'm in the market for a new MB.
