Very nice for the money 06/12/2011
Averages 43 fps in Crysis in my system all setting except AA maxxed. Overclocks easily to a respectable level. Core clock 951, shader clock 1902, memory 2303. Stable in MSI Kombuster for over 3 hours at these speeds with temps never exceeding 68 C with fan at 100%. Also played Crysis for 4 hours straight at these speeds with no problems, with fan speed set to 60%. The 2 GB memory is VERY nice with some games holding over 1 GB in memory. Did not have to change voltage to get these overclock speeds. Cheap way to play graphic heavy games. Scores 25118 in 3dmark 05 Pro @stock and 26748 oc'ed. Low wattage and amperage psu requirement. NO STUPID MAIL IN REBATE TO HAVE TO MESS WITH AND POSSIBLY NEVER GET. Always better to just have a lower price to begin with.
Vtune software that comes with it is kinda cheesy, but not a problem since MSI Afterburner and Kombuster work fine with it. Heatsink / fan design leaves a bit to be desired, there is no contact heatsink coverage of the memory modules. (I plan on fixing this with Enzotech memory heatsinks for about $16.) Sides of heatsink / fan plastic cover are open, allowing warm air into the case. Fan gets loud enough to hear very well over the other five 120mm and one 200 mm fans in my case when turned up past 70%. None of these "Cons" bother me, I am just including them for your information.
AMD 1090T @ (16X240 bus speed = 3.840 ghz) on budget air cooler.
8 GB Gskill Ripjaws DDR3 1600 (9-9-9-24 1T)
Thermaltake 650 watt PSU
60 GB Patriot Inferno SSD
64 GB A-DATA SSD
250 GB Seagate 7200 rpm HDD
ASUS DVD burner
Antec 900 Case
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Palit GTX 560 2GB Video (obviously) :)
If you're on a budget and need a card that can play most graphic intensive games at max settings with a decent framerate, this card fits that bill nicely. If you want to SLI on a budget these would be dandy.
Have only had it for a few days, hopefully it will last. I was hesitant at first since I have never heard of the company, but if it holds up over time, I think we will be seeing alot more from this company. (Unfortunately, this usually means the price of their products will increase as they become more popular.) Just a thought: Buy from them now while they are cheap :) MAIL IN REBATES SUCK!!!!!! Free shipping does not.
