Good board, but issues with BIOS 06/16/2011
This review is from: MSI P67A-C43 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
So far so good, put everything together, and started right up.
BIOS does not work via HDMI cable (Using DVI to HDMI cable). It would go into the bios, but it was not formatted properly, and was unusable. Was able to fix by using a DVI to VGA cable (the alternate input on the Monitor (Samsung 42" LED LCD). At least I had the cables and parts to make it work, but someone that is trying to use this as a home theater motherboard might be a little taken back when they can't get it to work properly over HDMI.
Network drivers are not loaded by Win7 by default. So getting updates right off the bat is a bit of a pain. Especially when you don't have a CD drive in the computer you are trying to setup. Your options are to copy the drivers to a USB drive of some sorts, install a temporary CD drive in the machine, or use another temporary network card/ USB dongle, to download the proper onboard network drivers.
So far so good. The BIOS is a bit funky. I don't care about being able to use a mouse in the bios. Also, their is no way to set 1 set of SATA ports to RAID, it's all or nothing. Which isn't much of an issue, just fairly annoying that you can't select which SATA ports will be your RAID ports, and leave the others on the normal controller. It isn't horrible, nor is it the end of the world, just an annoyance.
Only reason for 4 stars is so hopefully people can read the Con's and solve their BIOS issues if they are having them. Other than that the board probably deserves 5 stars for price/ features/ quality.
