So far not so good 08/17/2011
Newegg packaged the drives very well, these were not damaged as a result of poor packaging.
Bought 3 for file server, one never made it to formatting so I just used the 2 that were working, after a handful of file transfer tests one or both of the two remaining are now failing.
I have bought and used a lot of hard drives from WD, Seagate, Maxtor, and this model is the first DOA I have every had.
I don't know what the overall failure rate of these drives are but I am pretty shocked that with over 2200 reviews these are rating at 4 eggs.
