Worked for a day, sort of.
I bought one of these a few years ago for a home entertainment system but wired everything instead. Have a SMC router I bought here that works great with my laptop. I took this out of the box the other day for a XP computer in my daughters bedroom. It worked but I had to open the software and re-enter ssid password every time to get it to work. Next day would not accept password, said it was invalid. The router and other computer say otherwise. Any ideas?
Dear Valued Customer,
So this only happens with that 1 system and this adapter on another system works, correct? If so, then there may be something going on with your XP installation. I would try to do a repair installation and if that doesn't work, then back up the data and attempt to reinstall windows. If the adapter works on other systems, then the issue will not be with this adapter, but with something else in your system. If you are still having issues after that, please contact the Rosewill support team either via phone at 800-575-9885 or via email at email@example.com and will try to help you out with our product. If it turns out that the adapter is not the issue, then you will have to look at other components in your system.
