- SATA II
Dead after a month 11/07/2011
Very quick in my MacBook Pro, which only supports 1.5Gbps SATA. I was able to run multiple applications and hard disk intensive operations at the same time, such as performing a Time Machine backup while running Windows in Parallels, without performance issues. Boot times were about 5 seconds under OS X Lion.
The drive died after about a month of use. Purchased on 9/20/11, died on 11/4/11. After attempting to troubleshoot Mac until I was certain it wasn't my laptop, I looked online concerning the drive and found many many many reviews where this particular drive model dies at a very young age.
My faith in OCZ has been rocked by this drive, not only from my experience but others as well. This is the first OCZ product I have had issues with, and hopefully will be the last, otherwise my next OCZ product will be my last.
