Great PSU 12/14/2011
This review is from: XFX ProSeries P1-1250-BEFX 1250 W ATX12V V2.2 & ESP12V V2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply
Pros:
Great aesthetics, nice packaging. All cables have black mesh braiding around them. There's a switch to enable/disable hybrid mode which keeps the fan off at < 20% load. I just bought a Gigabyte GA-X79-UD7 mb and it has 2 x 8-pin connectors for power and this psu has two slots to plug in an 8-pin cable. However, one of those slots is a 2 x 8-pin pcie plug, so if you want quad-sli/crossfire and own this mb, um, you'll only be able to give your mb 1 x 8-pin power? Pretty sure that would be just fine though. Lots and lots of cables, probably more than any desktop user would need. 11 sata power connectors, 9 molex, a molex to 4-pin fan PWM converter, 2 x 8-pin atx and 8 x 8-pin pcie. I might be forgetting something else, but whatever, look it up. Big solid power rocker on the back.
Cons:
If you're putting this on the bottom of your case and you want to suck air up through the bottom opening, you'll have to flip the psu over so the 'xfx' on the back is upside down. I'm fairly ocd about stuff like this but this doesn't bother me.
Overall Review:
Bought from a site that shares a name with a jungle in south america for a little cheaper.
