This review is from: CORSAIR 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Memory for Apple Model CMSA8GX3M2A1066C7
Worked great until I started having sleep and hibernation issues...
Shortly after I installed this RAM I noticed that when I closed the lid on my 13 inch MacBook Pro (Mid 2010 model), the computer would go into deep hibernation and not wake up when I reopen the lid. I would have to completely power off the computer and turn it back on. The same issue occurs in Windows 7, so I know it's not a software issue. I tried resetting the SMC, PRAM, and playing with the hibernation modes in Terminal under OSX. I spent hours googling and trying different solutions, nothing worked. As a last resort I put in the old RAM and viola! sleep, hibernate, lid closing, etc all worked as it should. Just to be sure I put the new Corsair memory back in and yet again, sleep/power functions are jacked up. Whatever the issue, it's definitely the RAM.
My best guess is this RAM doesn't play well with this model MacBook Pro. It could just be bad RAM, but I had no page faults, crashes, hang ups, etc in Lion or Windows 7.
