No Longer would recommend this product 01/25/2012
Memory is fast and easy to set up. I bought a set almost a year ago and all 3 sticks worked great and I have not had any problems with them at all. This was not the case for the set I bought about 6 months later.(See Below)
Once the price of this memory dropped I decided to pick up another set to bring my system up to 12gb's. The first set I got had 2 bad memory modules in them so I RMA'd the pack. I Tested them in multiple slots in multiple configurations. The next set that I received from Newegg after my first RMA was just as dissapointing. Atleast one of the 3 sticks is not funtioning at all and the other is riddled with errors and usually is not even recognized on boot. My 3 old sticks of memory all work perfectly but the new batches seem to have some major flaws. I have seen several other people complaining about the same thing just on this site.
If you had of asked me 6 months ago if I liked this memory and would recommend it to a friend my answer would have been yes without thinking twice. Now I doubt that I will purchase any of their memory in the future which is a shame because I have bought from G.Skill for atleast 12 other systems in the past.
We are sorry to hear you are having issues. Please make sure you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard. There has been many changes to DRAM modules, so an update may be necessary to improve compatibility with the new type. Also, make sure to configure DRAM frequency, timings, and voltage in BIOS. If problem persists, you may need to exchange them for a 12GB kit. It can be difficult to mix-match seperate memory kits especially from much different production dates. For any further questions or issues, please feel free to contact the G.Skill support team directly. They can troubleshoot and make sure 12GB is working properly in your system.
Quality and customer service are our top priorities.
