Excellent and small 03/12/2012
This review is from: SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 1.0" Black 8GB MP3 Player SDMX18R-008GK-A57
Pros:
I've still got an older Sandisk Sansa c250 mp3 player, it's the rectangular one and I've had it for about 5 years now, still works great; the only thing I didn't like about it was the small screen and inconvenience of a place to put it while bike riding (I didn't like the neck lanyard). This new 4GB blue Clip+ is pretty amazing.. even smaller, and the clip is perfect as I can clip it onto my collar, my jacket, etc. and the screen is easier to see and navigate. It also has the added ability to play FLAC music, which is a much better compression type then mp3 as it is lossless (no distortion) but still can compress up to 50%, it also will play back OGG Vorbis music files which are also much cleaner and smaller then mp3 music files.
Have had it a couple of months and it works flawlessly.
Cons:
The only negatives: One thing I miss is the battery is not removable so you can't carry a spare, but it is easy to charge on any computer with a USB and the included USB cable is short and small enough to carry easily.. I just plug it in and let the clip+ hang while charging. Earbud quality not quite as good as the c250, but the increased treble preset helps a lot.
