High failure rate... 06/03/2012
-Benchmarked just a hair under a stock GTX 680 on tomshardware.com.
-Factory overclocked with included monitoring/overclocking software.
-Ran through everything I could throw at it.
-EVGA has an excellent RMA process (see cons).
-Outstanding tech support team.
-Best looking case badge I've seen in while!
After the first day, had hard lock-ups to a red screen on a new build, regardless of driver version (machine ran fine with card removed). Higher end games would artifact/crash/flash black screen when accessing higher amounts of video memory. Lower end games would often hang. Most third-party monitoring software would fail and cause a driver crash.
As of this review, this card appears to have been discontinued for having such a high failure rate, as it's no longer listed in EVGA's product line-up. EVGA tech support was quick to blame the card when presented with the problems listed above, and offered an upgraded RMA option while still paying for shipping both ways. They answered any questions within 24 hours, excluding weekends/holidays. The ones I spoke to over the phone were based in California, for those who care what country tech support lives in.
I am sorry to hear you had issues with the card. If your RMA has not already been setup please contact our 24/7 technical support or me directly, Matth@evga.com
