Seems well built. The simplicity of the rear (just two USB3 ports, with no extra power connections) is attractive. The USB3 pass-through is handy, since the adapter uses up the whole connector on the motherboard.
The adapter, which converts a standard USB3 mobo connection to two "normal" USB connections, I initially thought was a downer, prior to purchase. "Oh, woe is me, I can't get a USB3 flash reader that plugs directly into the motherboard." Well, I just plugged it in, it cleared everything it needed to, and really, increased the simplicity of the device. Standard USB3 cables, if I wanted to replace them with shorter, or longer, or silly colors, it seems very reasonable now.
The card reader didn't work prior to installation of the drivers. "Well, duh." Yes... but! The instructions say (they don't "imply", they _say_) that the driver is optional, and from the text written it seems as if the only thing the drivers supply is custom colored icons for the drives. The icons match the shape of the media. So, download from the site listed in the instructions (atechflash.com), install, replug, reboot, perfect, slots working.
So minus one egg just for documentation that was misleading. I actually thought that I remembered someone mentioning something about it in a review here, so I came back, yup, someone said install drivers, so I did. So, more exhaustively, I'm also saying "Download and install the drivers." :)
