Good if you don't notice the problems 09/26/2012
This thing is pretty decent for the price.
It is heavy.
The drivers for the wireless network adapter and the graphics controller are problematic. I am currently very angry about this.
My network adapter's driver has several glitches in it. Sometimes the internet will completely go out, even though Windows and Ubuntu say it is connected to a WiFi network. At this point, I have to reboot the driver by disabling the network adapter and re-enabling it.
The graphics controller is a pain in the whatever, too. Whenever I resume from sleep mode in Windows, there is a high chance that my keyboard's brightness buttons will not work, so I have to restart Windows just to get my brightness buttons to work again.
The screen is, like most laptops, engineered to have insanely bluish tint. This is most unnatural for your eyes.*
* The screens are preconfigured this way because the engineers are all old people whose eyes are yellowing, and they can't see the proper dosage of blue, so they overdo it. I am hypersensitive to the color blue (and colors in general), so I notice this immediately.
I try to compensate for this by changing the color balance using ATI Catalyst's Desktop color settings and display color settings. It is workable.
