I was a little skeptical at first- how can a fast quad core processor be on the same chip as a discreet level GPU? I thought I would give it a try for my friend who wanted a gaming computer on an extreme budget. I am absolutely amazed by what we got. We both play StarCraft2, and this thing can run a late game 4v4 (lots and lots of stuff running around and blowing up on a huge map) on a mixture of medium and high graphics settings without dropping below 35 frames per second, and never drops below 50fps in a 1v1. He also does some pretty complex financial modelling through excel, and this thing's stock speed 3.6-3.9 Ghz quad-core can handle the simulations in the blink of an eye. TL;DR- A truly impressive processor/GPU combo that can handle mid-level gaming at a stellar price point.
The heatsink/fan combo this chip shipped with seems even smaller than what ships with the FX 6 and 4 core CPUs, which is BAD. As a result, it runs pretty toasty even when idling. However, performance is not noticeably decreased due to the heat, so it's not worth knocking an egg. An aftermarket cooling solution would do wonders though for those who care about each *C/ want to overclock.
AMD has impressed me again with their performance/ price ratio! I'm running this chip on 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM currently, graphics performance could probably be improved further with speedier memory.
