Not as good as I hoped. 11/27/2012
Big, and BRIGHT! The stand is quite good. As a matter of fact, it is practically as good as a Neo-Flex VESA stand I purchased seperately for another monitor. It tilts, swivels, and pans very well.
The passive 3D works great for movies. I am not particular about the 3D, so I cannot say its the best or the worse, but it is good enough for me. I personally prefer the light polarized 3D glasses to active shutter glasses. What works in the iMax works great for me at home.
Low refresh rate of 60Hz. For use in an office setting, the text is disappointing. It is not as sharp and crisp as I am use to, so this was a real bummer. If you are a writer or spend a lot of time reading, you may want to consider something with a better display. The 3D is nice, but that isn't enough to blind me to poor 2D text performance, which for me is far more important.
This is a budget entry into the 27" IPS 3D world. Is you want a huge, affordable, 3D monitor then this is a great choice. However, if you need sharp, crisp text then you may want to look elsewhere, save $100, and buy a much better 2D monitor.
I’m so sorry if you’re not fully satisfied with this monitor. Please try using the Windows 7 “Adjust ClearType text” wizard: Control Panel->All Control Panel Items ->Display ->Adjust ClearType text. This should calibrate how the texts are displayed on your monitor. If you’d like to further discuss this issue with me, please contact me at email@example.com and include ref#1072-6405 in the subject line. I’d be glad to help you out.
