This machine can and will perform all of your typical college duties well.
Can be used for light gaming such as League of Legends or Torchlight II
Comes with 6GB RAM, not 4GB in description.
There is nothing wrong with the machine, but Win 8 can produce some minor issues. When installing an app, it can be stuck in "pending" or "downloading" mode. To fix this, simply press "Win + W" and type "Troubleshooting." After clicking on the troubleshooting option provided, click "Fix Problems with Windows Update." Then it will say it fixed some stuff or didn't fix anything--that's ok. Now have it troubleshoot in administrator mode. After doing this, go back to your apps download and cancel them (right click on it). Now go back to the store and download/install them again. This worked for me and was an easy fix to a problem that can be really annoying for some users.
As mentioned earlier, it's powerful enough to play League of Legends, the most popular online MOBA although you will most likely have to put the settings on low w/ no shadows. I have also played Torchlight II on this machine and it performs flawlessly.
