Ivy Bridge Hit and Miss 12/11/2012
I've order over 40 of these over the last yea for custom servers. They work great when you stick to sandy bridge cpu's only.
The woes of Ivy Bridge compatibility. For those wondering why you get that one board that just doesn't work with your new ivy bridge. And get a constant memory beep code, it's not your memory, it's the motherboard.
To find out if the board you have can support ivy bridge cpu's look up the AAG in the bios system info. The caveat being if you have a spare sandy bridge cpu laying around to start it up to check in the first place.
Another note is if you do upgrade the bios and play musical cpu's the first POST will give you the above link if it's AAG is to old. Hope this helps others that just happen to get unlucky with an old batch.
