SONY VAIO T Series SVT13125CXS Ultrabook Intel Core i5 3317U (1.70 GHz) 500GB + 32GB MLC Hybrid(5400rpm Hybrid) HDD Intel HD Graphics 4000 Shared memory 13.3" Windows 8 64-bit

Pros:

In general, this seems like a great entry-level ultrabook for the price. Startup is pretty fast and the machine is pretty quiet. Fast shipping as usual.

Cons:

Does not have a touch screen--which is one of the most important features of new Windows 8 ultrabooks. Confusingly, there is another ultrabook with otherwise identical specs which I mistook for this one. Unfortunately for me, Newegg refuses to refund a single penny (I literally just opened the box and powered on the machine) despite the "30 day return policy" listed at the time of purchase.

I also found touchpad detection of Win8 gestures to be inconsistent; roughly 50% of the time the gestures don't work.

Other Thoughts:

I was shocked and disappointed that Newegg refused to provide any refund for this confusingly advertised item which is essentially brand new. Since I did buy it at somewhat of a discount, I will attempt to recoup most of the cost by reselling it.

Despite being a loyal Newegg customer for nearly a decade, I feel I can no longer trust Newegg and certainly will never again buy PCs/laptops from them.
