This review is from: SAMSUNG S27B750V High Gloss Black 27" 2ms HDMI*2 Widescreen LED-Backlit LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 1000:1 Built-in Speakers
Pros:
The picture was amazingly sharp. The colors were not as vivid as I have seen on other monitors and so I had to toy with my GPU's color settings for about 45 minutes to get it looking good. The sleek design is nice and even though the internal speakers are a little weak (most monitor speakers are), I found it nice that a monitor that was this slim had speakers. It is also very efficient. The power supply is rated at 56 watts which means it probably draws much less than that. Because of that, it barely gets warm if at all. Decent response time.
Cons:
Just after the warranty was up, the control board inside died. I opened up the monitor to find an 8-pin SMD IC (I thinks it's a voltage regulator) had burned. It burned so much that I can't even read the part number on it to even try to replace it. I have looked online to see if I can try to buy a replacement control board but to no avail. So, this either doesn't happen too often or Samsung does not wholesale control boards. Either way, I am out an expensive monitor. The only other con I have for this is the price. For the performance this monitor gives, you are paying for the sleek design, and nothing more. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this monitor.
Overall Review:
Expensive, died after the warranty was up, nice design, decent picture... the choice is yours.
