The Packages looked Good, nothing else
Where do I start? SYBA sells this junk and knows they do. They have not updated this package, still selling in 2013, knowing it is Junk, but clear their shelves. After all, most people will not spend the time to send it back, costing as much as the cost.
I purchased 10 of these a couple years back. Opened one in 2011, as my computer store (then) customers do not run out like many of us and update everything they own. So for those, once they have a USB, they need their older Serial Devices (Printers and the like, Older modems and...)
I played with it for a couple months, searched out drivers, this prolific chip is Junk. another dime in cost production could have used a much better solution.
I was honest, reading reviews here recently that they were "making it right" Well here is the right with me. I told them I bought 10 of these and while it was over a year ago, I pulled them from my shelves as if I could not get it to work, how could I possibly allow my customers to deal with this. Bought a better quality other units that worked right out of the driver loading,
When I contacted SYBA about it, HAVE ALL EMAILS if you need proof
I asked where was the RMA form they talked about, I would like an EXCHANGE. They came back with this email (what part of EXCHANGE do they not read)
"What is that that you are asking for, Exchange or your Money Back"
I replied "EXCHANGE"
Next reply was It was out of warranty and the manufacture posting on Newegg were for in warranty service. It is sold here, search another link, still actively sold and that one barely has three starts, 36 reviews.
I wrote back and said, that is unacceptable (well I used another work, not vulgar that new egg will not allow), they are brand new, you still sell them. If I sold it to a customer today, with my receipt, you would warranty them, why not the retailer. I did not have to be honest, but I always am, I could have said Last week for all it mattered and just made my own business receipt, I am not like that and told them.
They sent me an email telling me they would do nothing, I said I am an expert reviewer on many sites, are you sure. I then said forget it, I will toss them
If Egg posts this HONEST working with the company review, it will now have been posted here and that other zonian place, that lion (cousin) place, and two others. The Zonian place posted it immediately. I sent it to ZYBA and said, well, how many customers will think twice now, for 9 units that would have cost more just to UPS them back.
They came back once they saw the reviews I provided being posted and used about every excuse in the book, late emails, they misunderstood. All garbage because they wanted me to stop. How much will my reviews cost SYBA corporation, posting, where I could, their communication emails. Sorry SYBA, you upset the wrong person. As I told you, TRUST ME ON THIS ONE!
Stay away from any SYBA product. They sell quick, service ... well you read it here.

This Serial adapter is a popular item. We sell average 1000 a month. However, this kind of USB to Serial adapter might not work with all Serial devices out there due to Serial, USB and Windows technologies comflict.
