This review is from: Intel DC3217IYE Intel QS77 Chassis: Aluminum and Plastic Black Next Unit of Computing Kit
Pros:
+ Small size
+ Good power CPU for this size
+ Decent memory expansion
Cons:
- Expensive, especially compared to similarly specified laptops
- only 3 USB ports, and they're not USB 3
- no discrete audio out - only available through HDMI
Overall Review:
Given that it's necessary to add memory, a hard drive, and an operating system (typically a free Linux or Windows 7) to this unit, the final cost will be in the $500-$600 range, which is expensive, especially compared to similarly specified laptops (e.g. Core i3, 8GB RAM, 500GB drive) that also come with an LCD display and a battery. Although of course a laptop will have a larger footprint.
