Great GPU for Economy Gaming Builds. 01/23/2013
Great performance for the price.
Overclocks fairly well.
Runs nice and cool.
Handles most modern games just fine.
None that I can complain about for the price of this GPU.
When I bought this GPU, I expected to be able to handle Far Cry 3 and Battlefield 3 at low to medium settings. To my surprise, I can play each on max! With Battlefield 3 on max settings with lowest levels of AA (Just a personal preference, as the improvement as you go higher gives diminishing returns) I get a steady 30 FPS. With Far Cry 3 at max settings with lowest level of AA, I get 20 FPS. A lot of people will complain that's too low, but you have to understand that with motion blur, which both games have, 20 FPS feels like 40 FPS and 30 FPS feels like 60 FPS. So, both games are completely playable at max settings.
Overclocking. I did manage to overclock this thing, but it's a little picky because of the locks the manufacturer put into the GPU's bios. I used MSI AfterBurner to raise this limit and then used AMD Overdrive to overclock it. I managed to get a stable overclock of 800 Mhz core clock and 850 Mhz on the memory. Please be careful overclocking this! It's not an amazing GPU. And if you don't want to risk burning out your GPU for a 10-15% performance boost, then just don't do it! It works just fine at stock, anyways.
All in all, unless you light your cigars with $100 bills, this is an awesome GPU. Of course, if you have a stack of money in your closet and just don't care about price, go buy something much better!
