Great while it lasted 03/01/2013
I purchased my GTX 570 in November as an upgrade over my ATI 5750 HD. I actually couldn't install it until December but that's another story. My gaming experience dramatically improved; I went from playing my games (Guild Wars 2, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Borderlands 2) with low/medium settings @~30-50 FPS to high/ultra @50 FPS minimum. Borderlands 2 was the biggest eye opener for me, as it is the first game I've played with PhysX set to High. At 200 USD after an immediate rebate, picking this card up was a no-brainer.
Games (Borderlands 2 mainly) would occasionally lock up, forcing me to open the Task Manager and Force Close the game. I also had problems running Tera; I would see frequent, unpredictable crashes which would also require me to Force Close the program. I always kept my drivers up to date, too.
I had an issue roughly one month ago where my desktop refused to load after the "Resuming/Starting Windows" screens; I was met with a black display, requiring me to power down my computer. The issue seemed to be resolved after I re-booted in Safe Mode and uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers.
Today this issue happened again, but this time it appears the card has had it. My desktop refused to load outside of Safe Mode and after trying to uninstall/re-install the drivers, my computer simply wouldn't POST. I re-installed my old ATI card and my system booted fine.
I called eVGA today and started the RMA process. My fingers are crossed. I really liked the performance of this card when it worked and it was within my budget.
