It works. Replaced an OS/program HDD.
Customer support is dysfunctional.
The "Magician" 4.0 SSD management software installed but within a day, would not start/run. Uninstall/reinstall did not help.
Phone support in unreachable. Email support is too messed up to waste the time describing. Voice of the Customer" email feedback asked a bunch of questions with no reply- to link save the support email which is a huge waste of time (e.g., the 840 series is not listed in the *lengthy*-form email pulldown). This is the worst support experience for any product ever.

I will hope that Win 7 maintains the drive. If it breaks, I'll buy a Crucial drive. Ridiculous Samsung/Newegg spends so much on marketing these drives but in the end, post-sales support is just plain bad and inspires zero confidence in future purchases or attempts to contact. Frankly, I would like to return it but next time I'll have to read the return policy more closely...it can be returned for replacement only.
