BIOS UPDATE!!!! For The 650ti 04/28/2013
Some of you people that award yourselves 4-5 stars for Tech. knowledge, I ask, Do you lie to your wife, kids and Boss too. FYI if you go to Gigabyte support there is a BIOS update dated 03/22/2013-(F-12) addressing EFI!!!!!. The very first thing you should do before installing a new Mobo and/or a Video Card is go to the Mfgr. U.S. website and check support/downloads for the current BIOS, Drivers etc. For Video Cards a person with 4-5 star knowledge should also know to go directly to Nvidia or ATi for the latest Drivers!!!!! This Card Does support Windows 8 and runs like a Swiss Watch in ALL Linux Distro's.
For Linux ubuntu, regardless of the Derivitive/Fork you're using, add to your (software sources) the PPA for xorg-edgers/swat-team? Google ppa:xorg-edgers.
Update synaptic and you will have the current Drivers and Kernel you need for both both Nvidia & ATi. For people that lack the knowledge/skill for Linux Drivers/Kernels, this is your BEST Source. I'm in Linux-ubuntu-Voyager 12.10 and again, it is running like a Fine Tuned Swiss Watch!!!! Enough Said.
It won't make my morning smoothie. LOL.
