Bootable for me, no problems 05/23/2013
This review is from: SanDisk Extreme 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model SDCZ80-064G-A75
Pros:
One reviewer mentioned that this drive doesn't work as a boot drive, but I've been using it as an Ubuntu boot drive for a few months with no problems.
32GB primary partition as primary NTFS, to share files with Windows systems. 32GB as an extended Ubuntu boot partition.
I've tried a similar approach with slower (regular-speed) USB flash devices, and they work, but this one is much faster. It's very usable for work, including software development and playing around with servers. Performance hasn't noticeably degraded, either, unlike cheaper devices.
Physical design is pretty good -- the slide-out mechanism locks well enough in place to be easy to plug in. Still reliable after a few months riding around on a keychain in my pocket and backpack, used a few times a day.
Cons:
Kinda large, but still small enough to fit next to other USB devices.
