Shiny, Quiet, Cheap
Post-flood GREEN drives from WD have gargage components. Buy a Black drive if you want "some" quality. Drive never did really work
I bought several of these about 3-4 years ago, and they worked fine, till my daughter accidentally sent one to the floor (after tripping on a cable I use when plugging the drive externally. So Got a post-flood replacement via warranty, and THAT ONE never did work right. Sometimes it would connect, sometimes not, well a couple of weeks ago, it started smoking from the Motherboard. I emailed WD to try to get it replaced, and here ten days later, NOTHING REPLIED, (when they claim to reply within a day or two). So needless to say this put a sour taste in my mouth for the Green drive family of western digital. My replacement drive they sent will run out of warranty soon, and I don't expect they'll contact me AT ALL at this point. BIG THUMBS DOWN TO YOU WESTERN DIGITAL!!!!!
