Replacement drive, DOA 07/19/2013
With this drive, and my experience with it, absolutely none.
Original drive lasted a week, replacement drive wouldn't be recognized by any of 3 different PC's. Spins up and just clicks.
This drive in no way reflects on Newegg, which is a great company to deal with. First drive I just submitted a RMA for replacement, shipped it back on my dime. Second drive, I submitted and RMA for replacement, but then though otherwise and wanted to cut my losses with this particular line of drives and called Newegg to change the RMA from a replacement to a refund, explaining that at 12 bucks a pop to ship the deffective unit back was starting to add up and if the third arrived deffective, well.... They gladly changed the RMA to a refund and also issued a return shipping label so that I do not have to pay shipping again.
I've used Western Digital almost exclusively, and will continue to do so. I've never purchased one of their 'Black' drives, instead opting for either the Green or Blue drives (out of 7 of those, all 7 have been excellent). I only picked up this drive one a sale price, just to give it a try since the 'Black' drive is supposed to be their best desktop hard drive.
I'll just stick with the Blue and Green label drives for my desktop needs from now on.
