LG 55LM4600 07/31/2013
This review is from: LG 55" 1080p 120Hz Cinema 3D LED TV 55LM4600
-Crisp, vivid images
-3D looks good
-Extremely thin and light (weighs less than the 50" plasma it replaced)
-Comes with 4 pairs of passive 3D glasses
-Well packaged in it's box. Box had some wear and tear on it, and some styrofoam inside was broken, but the TV was snug and well protected.
-2D to 3D conversion didn't see any difference at all between 2D and 3D mode. (could have been the movie I was watching).
Not the tv's fault so not worth deducting an egg, but Newegg had this model listed for $799, then on the day I tried to order it, it jumped to about $845, which placed it just a hair out of my range. I ordered the tv from another vendor at $794. Now Newegg has it listed at $799 again, only a week later. Make up your minds Newegg. I have bought a TON of stuff from you in the last year-and-a-half. This is the first time I've chosen another vendor over Newegg due to price.
As stated above. This unit replaced a Samsung 50" Plasma 3D 720p as my primary television. ThaT TV is great. i still have it. The LG LED makes a better computer monitor than the plasma. Images are brighter and text is easier to read at 1920x1080. (Plasma's native resolution is 720p, but supports 1080i).
