This review is from: Pioneer VSX-1123-K 7.2-Channel 4K AV Receiver
Upgraded My lower resolution video to 1080p. Had very good sound and power for the price. For 6 weeks???
Everything worked perfect for 6 weeks, after that I noticed intermittently I would have flickering video. It would shut off for a couple seconds and go off, no matter which input I was using. Now 2 weeks later... it's gotten worse, now ity keeps searching for a video format then goes black for a few seconds, does that a few times then the screen goes purple. I still have audio but no video or on screen display. Movies are unwatchable.. I'm plugging back in my old Sony that I've had for 16 years(no problems) and sending this dissapointment in for service. I was worried about the quallity of this unit when I saw the made in China sticker and when you turn the knobs, the detents or clicks are spongy and cheap, My first instincts were to return the unit immediatelly and I wish I would have listened to them.
My last reciever lasted 16 years, this one not even 16 weeks. I'm sure even after it's repaired it wont last 16 months. I will repost and let you know how there warranty and customer service is, but I've read other posts and it doesn't look good for me... Good luck to you
