So I replaced my Engenius N300 Router's pair of 2-3dBi antennas with a pair of these 9dBi antennas (on sale). We have a big split between 2 buildings (about 100ft through trees and a couple of stories different in relative height on a hillside) and were not getting solid enough signal for devices that didn't have a big external antenna. The higher efficiency antennas did the trick, what was pulling -90 dBm or more is now pulling in -80 to -70 which is useable if not great.
So they couldn't quite get everything into the green but is that the fault of the antennas? I think not. They will improve your range, but they won't make the unattainable possible.
Hard to go wrong for the price. I'll see if they hold but I don't expect too many problems - antennas are not a high "failure rate" item as long as they aren't broken or mistreated.
