This review is from: Team 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1066 Laptop Memory Model TSD38192M1066C7DC-E
Pros:
This RAM has been a problem free upgrade for my Fujitsu T900 I7 laptop. Increasing from 4 gb to 8 gb of memory has made it more responsive when using multiple apps in conjunction with Nuance Dragon Medical Practice Edition 2. I had made the mistake of going to the Crucial web site RAM configuration tool. The site recommended 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) with a Cas latency of 9. So I purchased the recommended type of RAM but when I took out the old RAM it had a Cas of 7. The PC3 10600 RAM with a Cas of 9 was incompatible, all I got were the dreaded BSOD's, and it is being RMA'd. I should have looked inside to see what the manufacturer installed but the Crucial memory adviser web tool has never steered me wrong before.
Anyhow, this was an inexpensive upgrade, the RAM appears to work flawlessly, and in the future I will never use the Crucial memory adviser web tool again.
I will also give Newegg 5 eggs for a simple RMA process (although using their "get a good deal" with UPS by printing out a return label through the Newegg website generated a return shipping label with an out of pocket cost of $9.95) I saved a few bucks by using the USPS which was under $2.00 with insurance. The replacement RAM was ordered on Sept 5 with free 4+ day delivery but it showed up on my doorstep in 24 h. Who else but Newegg is so efficient? Got to love them.
