I was looking for a 650w psu and found one for the same price as this AND it was modular. Saw this and did some research and found out who makes Tt's psu's and thought,"oh my". So, for a 750w gold for the same price as a 650w bronze, made by a very reputable company in the psu business........I jumped! Leaped rather. Could have been called a jump though, I won't mix words.......anymore.
eggxpert reviews. Have to scroll down a mile to get by them. Really the only down side to this other then it not being modular for some, is it only has 4 molex plugs. So if you are using case fans that use molex plugs, rethink or get some adapters like me......I even found those on sale w/f/ship, along w/4 120mm 3pin case fans by xigmatek for under 14 bones, so it worked out nicely!
The data is out there about who's who in the psu market and with a lil research you can find lil gems like this for 80 bucks on sale.
I like single rail psu's because they last. The only psu's that have ever failed me in gaming rigs are the ones with multi rails. Some will disagree with me on the rail issue, but that's what my experience has been. Sure, this isn't modular, but the spec's speak for themselves, and I use it in a case that cleans up nicely. You'll have some items bought here and elsewhere that will not work out of the box, or it could be that an individual that over loaded it from jump street. Take all negative reviews with a grain of salt unless the whole system spec's are included for deductive reasoning. Just stating it "pops" and "watch the sparks fly", doesn't tell anyone with any sense anything at all. State the system spec's so we as a collective can determine if it was Tt's fault or yours. Mine? I have a 7850 crossfire setup and an amd 955 that I'm getting ready to upgrade to an 8320. 8gigs of ram, 2 hhd's, 4 case fans and what not. Have fun
