Outstanding Cooler Pad! I love it! 09/20/2013
This review is from: Cooler Master NotePal CMC3 - Laptop Cooling Pad with 200 mm Silent Fan
This cooling pad became my laptop's savior. I do a lot of driving and testing at the same time. My 14" HP Elitebook 8440P sits at the passenger seat and collects data via GPS and antennae devices, and my AC doesn't work good enough, LOL. So laptop overheats from time to time and shuts off killing my data at the same time. I had to come up with some kind of solution to prevent my laptop from overheating, and I knew where to look for - Newegg Daily Deals! Man, as soon as saw this cooling pad on sale I knew right away that I've struck it rich. And rich I struck big time! As soon as my laptop has been rested on this pad all my troubles of overheating just vanished. The fan is silent, low RPM and powerful enough to keep my laptop's underbelly cool and ventilated. You might consider a separate Male to Female\Male to Male USB cable to save USB port and get the pad plugged in right into your car power inverter 5V power port (depends on the type of inverter you have available - mine has one or two 5V power ports), if you use it in your car like me. It would be good in addition to have a USB swivel adapter just to make sure, if the pad slides all the way to the back of seat, it won't break your USB port as the USB connector of the pad is long and sticks out pretty far. The front "lip" or "curb" of the pad is great in preventing laptop from sliding off forward but I came up with one more solution - plastic jaw\spring clamps to keep laptop firmly attached to the pad. All in all this is a great cooling pad for my current needs.
NONE SO FAR.
