It captures 10/30/2013
This review is from: AVerMedia C875 (Live Gamer Portable) Video Device
*1080p capture on PC/XBox360
*720p on PS3 (due to HDMI protection)
*PC free option
*Doesn't eat CPU at all, nor hit FPS, if gaming on PC.
*Ability to decide how big those recording file sizes are going to be.
*A bit pricey, since it doesn't come with editing software.
*Short HDMI and USB cables.
Bought this device in May 2013
Says there is no support for USB headsets but there is a work around this by tweaking Playback and Recording devices.
Sadly, Nvidia cards GTX650 and up now provide shadow play, which allows you to capture game footage using your GPU (as of Oct 28, 2013). Newer AMD cards also let you do some sort of capturing thanks to EXPERIENCE PREDATOR.
I cannot recommend this device, unless you are planning to record from PC and multiple consoles.
If you're planning to game only on PC, best to just use the money towards a newer GPU with game capture features.
