This review is from: GOgroove SonaVERSE BX Portable Stereo Speaker System with Dual Stereo Drivers , Rechargeable Battery and Universal 3.5mm AUX Port - Use with Smartphones , Laptops , MP3 Players and More!
It surely sounds better than any phone...and most laptops. Although it ONLY plays mp3 file format.....this device is not meant to be a portable Hi-Fi system or a portable B*SE speaker system. It is a reasonably priced device...especially on sale during one of NewEgg's regular email special sale messages.
This device will play music (mp3) on either an SD Card or a jump drive. It's size is perfect for a cluttered work desk or a kitchen \ dining room table.
It's built in mp3 player kernel will only play mp3 files in order. You can change to the file of your choosing forwards and backwards...but there is no random shuffle feature nor is there a fast forwarding or fast reversing of an mp3 file that is playing. Nor is there a display of any of any kind. That sounds worse than it really is. I mean come on........this is not meant to be a person's only "sound system"....it is a compact portable speaker that happens to have a built in mp3 player....that obviously is only going to play mp3 music files YOU or someone you know loaded onto a SD Card or a Jump Drive in the first place...do you really need to see a display? All it would do is shorten the rechargeable Nokia BL-5C or equivalent lithium ion battery...spare batteries can be found for $3.50 anywhere on the internet...so not having a display might bother some people but in reality this device is a portable speaker and the internal mp3 player is just a nice little bonus. Besides....a display is really not needed.....you already know the music files because you loaded them onto the storage devices this speaker will be using.
For office or appropriate workplace sound levels this device works fine. For kitchen or household playing of background music this device works. Could you hear this device over a vacuum cleaner? No. Who would want the music to be loud enough to hear over a vacuum cleaner? Would this device be something to listen to in a moving car? No. Would it be a device to listen to in the garage while you WORK on your car? I think so.
If you can pick this up on sale
