Great PSU if you dont mix cables... 11/12/2013

Lots of power, aesthetically pleasing to look at, modular design......
It would seem that you can not mix cables. My nzxt 820 case came with an 8-pin power extender that allowed me to hide the one cable that was going across my mobo/window. upon powering it up everything goes black, i hear a pop, and see a spark at the top of the mobo at the exact spot of the cable extension i used. i should note that both manuals were pretty useless. given its just a psu its pretty self explanatory but this whole situ could have been easily avoided. the spot i used the extender at happened to be the cpu's additional power for overclocking so im out a cpu, ssd, all of my ram, and of coarse the psu is shoot. luckly everything is still within the rma window which makes me luckier then some on here.
Im sure this PSU will be awesome and i will stick with it once it is placed just dont use cables other then what is included with the psu.
