Works OK, Don't Care For The Case 12/20/2013
Works like it's supposed to. Decent speeds... CDM with Intel X25-M on W7-32bit...
Much faster on reads than USB 2.0, of course, and about 2X faster at copying folders. Backup copies my stock market data folder, 240MB/1450 files, in about 6 seconds.
I have the earlier Gauntlet model also. This Gauntlet 2's data transfer rate is about the same as its predecessor, but the case is annoying to open if you care/need to swap out the drive. There is not even a notch along the margin where the case parts snap together so that you can insert a screwdriver to pry it open. I had to insert a small screwdriver into one of the screw holes to pry a spot up and get my fingernail in there to keep it open until I could work the screwdriver around the margin. It's also shiny plastic and shows fingerprints like mad. Annoying compared to the earlier model, but I'll cope. Minus 1 Egg for the case.
Had bought one from another seller when Newegg didn't have in stock. Have since bought a 2nd.
