- SATA III
Failed after four months 12/26/2013
Bought this to replace the standard HDD in my netbook so I could improve battery life and speed the old thing up a bit. Worked like a champ - I was able to transfer the image from my existing HDD over to it with no problems and I immediately saw an improvement in the netbook's operation.
Developed failed sectors and died on me about four months after purchase. That's pretty pathetic in my book. Unfortunately, that means I'll have to go deal with SanDisk's support. Here's to hoping they'll replace it without giving me any grief.
I'm glad I didn't have anything mission-critical stored on this thing. It still made for an exercise in frustration the week it died, though - It stays readable for a short amount of time when plugged in and as soon as you try and access one of the files in the bad section, it croaks and Windows won't recognize it until it has been unplugged and reattached.
