Ok NAS case but lacks quality 12/26/2013
This review is from: LIAN LI PC-Q25B Black Aluminum Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case
5 Hot Swap Bays
Fans are somewhat loud with filter QA issues
Cramped Cable Management
No Front USB
Bright LED Power Button
Using this case as a dedicated NAS server with a ASRock E3C226D2I Intel G3220 Kingston 4GB ECC RAM Corsair CX430 PSU and 2X WD Red 3TB 1X Seagate Barracude 3TB 30GB SSD(OS) plenty of room for expansion.
From first startup this case gave me problems the front 140mm fan filter was not properly finished with burrs around the edges and the fan hit these each revolution making a loud racket. I removed the filter altogether and used tape to create the vacuum in the front. The back top fan made a very low pitch clicking noise at full RPM, I contact Lian Li over 2 weeks ago without hearing back from them. Consider ordering a couple Fractal or Scythe fans if you plan to sleep in the same room with this. Hard drives run about about 6-8C warmer than a Antec 900 case being in the same room. The PSU slot needs a centimeter more clearance to fit PSUs better only after removing the stickers off a Corsair CX PSU was I able to push it in. The powerbutton LED is blinding at night dont bother connecting the LED power cables.
If you want a ITX form factor look at the Fractal Design Node 304 .
For the $100 Lian-Li is asking I am disappointed not just the fans but how thin the paint is on this thing my Antec seems to be holding up way better and its over 4 years old. The fact Lian-Li has not even returned my messages in 2 weeks shows they dont care about their customers. I picked this case up for $55 with rebate otherwise this would have been returned to Newegg ASAP.
